 Walker Oldsmobile Company, Inc. was founded in 1919 as Alexandria Auto Company, Inc. by Foster Walker Sr. Through four generations of family ownership and involvement, our company has demonstrated a commitment to ethical business practices, which has set a high standard for other automobile dealerships as well as all businesses in central Louisiana.

Our president, Foster Walker III, provides sound ethical leadership and his example is felt throughout the company. He is a life long resident of Alexandria and a fervent and active supporter of central Louisiana. His strong moral character helps guide our company, and his leadership provides an outstanding representation of the integrity which is present throughout his company.
Over 8 decades of innovative leadership by the Walker family has earned Walker Automotive national recognition as a recipient of Olds "Elite", Honda "President" and GMC "Leaders of Distinction" awards. We also were recognized locally as the first annual winner of the 1999 Better Business Bureau’s National Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics for central Louisiana.
